Sharing Superfluity

“Make an offering…

Deuteronomy adds on,

…ten percent— a tithe

of all the produce which grows

in your fields year after year.”

“A tenth is enough

To calculate decisions,

To think and reason.

Beyond that would be fatal—

Something unnecessary.”

“If the myth were true

(Only ten percent is used)

It is possible

That others use even less

Percentages of their brain.”

“If I could unlock

the portion yet to be shown,

I opt to share it

With others who need it most.

That’s if it’s transferable.”

Let’s assume we do, in fact, use only 10% of our brain. If you could unlock the remaining 90%, what would you do with it?

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Brain Power.”
